Can we take McLaren Hire vehicles out of WA
Yes - however there is no breakdown service out of WA.
McLaren Hire vehicles are strictly not to be taken on any tidal flats or areas, beaches or the jump up area of the burrup peninsula. An automatic $500 penalty applies to any vehicle seen in these vicinities
Can I pick the vehicle up and drop it off to the airport?
Yes you can be collected and delivered to the airport during business hours. FREE OF CHARGE. NO AIRPORT TAXES ARE CHARGED on McLaren Hire rentals. (conditions apply) By prior arrangement
Do I need a Credit Card to hire a vehicle?
No. But it is easier. Extra bonds and Conditions apply for cash payments. Please ask for more info.
What is the minimum age to hire a vehicle?
The minimum age required is 25 years. Accident protection will not be applicable for drivers under the age of 25.
Is there a charge for additional drivers?
No. As long as the drivers are of 25 years, you can list multiple drivers (maximum of 3) at no extra cost.
Do I need a 4WD to go to Karrijini National Park and Chillchester Millstream?
Yes you do. There are gravel roads leading into these parks and McLaren hire will not allow 2wd vehicles on any unsealed roads.
Are there any restrictions of where the vehicles can go in Karratha?
Two wheel drive cars are strictly for use on sealed bitumen roads. 4WD vehicles can be taken off bitumen roads at the renters own risk. Extra collision protection does not cover off road use. (vehicles are not to be used on tidal flats under any circumstance)
Does McLaren Hire cover for animal damage?
Yes, if the extra collision protection option is taken by the renter at time of pick up.
